Customers Affected In Eleanor And Hurricane
If you couldn't get online over the Easter weekend, you may be a frustrated Frontier customer.
From Charleston to Huntington, including Eleanor and Hurricane, Frontier customers had Internet outages starting Thursday night. An equipment failure is blamed for the troube.
Frontier reports that it received calls from about 500 customers complaining about the situation and says it restored broadband DSL service to most areas by Friday afternoon.
Here at PutnamLIVE.com, our Frontier Internet service was down from Friday morning until Easter evening. In addition, our telephone service was down much of Easter Sunday. Frontier first said that a tech would not be out to fix the problem until this week, so we were surprised when he showed up late on Easter Sunday. We had to use cellphones and a data "air card" to get online most of the weekend.
PutnamLIVE.com is trying to transition to Fibernet for more reliable service, but has been told by Fibernet that Frontier has failed to do the preparatory work for that to happen.
