Starts In Putnam County, Ends In Cabell County
Milton -- Two people are in custody after a high-speed chase, Tuesday, February 1st.
Police say Joseph Michael Eads, 26, led them on the chase that started Putnam County and ended in Cabell County. Robin Ward was his passenger. It ended near the old Milton Middle School campus. After Eads crashed, he tried to make a run for it on foot, but was captured.
Eads was driving a pickup truck that was reported stolen in Kanawha County, police say. Ward was wanted there on charges of Forgery and Uttering.
After their arrests, they were transported to the Western Regional Jail and Correctional Center, in Barboursville.
Eads is being held on a $31,000 bond set by Cabell County Magistrate McCallister.
Ward has been released from custody.
