Accused Of Possession Of Pills And Heroin
A major drug bust takes place in Putnam County.
Three men took a trip to jail, Wednesday and Thursday, May 29th and 30th, 2013, after their arrests on felony drug charges, according to a news release by Putnam County Sheriff Steve Deweese.
"At approximately 0030 hrs the Putnam County Sheriff’s Department and members of the Metro Drug Unit, (MDENT) made seventeen (17) Felony (charges) Arrest (s) in Putnam County on prescription pills and heroin," reports Deweese. "The following suspects are charged with: Gary Grimm, Evans WV, charged with Conspiracy to Commit Felony x 4 and Delivery of Controlled Substance x 6, bond set for $60,000.00.; Jonathan Chapman, Scott Depot, WV, Conspiracy to Commit Felony x 2 and Delivery of Controlled Substance x 2, bond set for $40,000.00.; Harold Ray Cole III, Red House, WV, Conspiracy to Commit Felony x 3, bond set for $20,000.00."
The busts took place in Hurricane and Teays Valley, during traffic stops, according to Deweese.
After their arrests, Chapman, Cole, and Grimm were transported to the Western Regional Jail and Correctional Facility, in Barboursville. They were booked and photographed on May 29th and 30th, 2013, according to the jail's web site.
Their bond was set by Putnam County Magistrate Linda J. Hunt, court records state.
Chapman's Putnam County Magistrate Court case numbers are: 13F, 311-314; Cole's temporary case number is 13F; Grimm's case numbers are: 13F, 315-324.
