If you're drunk and driving a stolen car, from another state, it's easy to decide to run for it. However, outrunning the law, in any state, isn't easy.
A Kanawha County man found that out the hard way, and took a trip to jail, Tuesday, after his arrest on felony charges, in Putnam County, court and jail records state.
Souel Dean Rowe, 41, of Charleston, was arrested June 18th, 2013 by Officer T.A. Jarrell of the Nitro Police Department.
According to court records, Rowe is charged with:
Rowe was pulled over on the Interstate 64 eastbound Nitro offramp, court records state. He was allegedly drunk and driving a stolen vehicle from Wythe County, Virginia. No Blood Alcohol Content was listed in the criminal complaint filed in Putnam County Magistrate Court.
After his arrest, Rowe was transported to the Western Regional Jail and Correctional Facility, in Barboursville. Officials booked and photographed him at 7:00 p.m., according to the jail's web site.
During a hearing, Rowe's bond was set, at $30,000, by Putnam County Chief Magistrate Elizabeth K. Dunlap Brown, court records state.
