Held In Western Regional Jail Pending Bond
A Putnam County man took a trip to jail, Wednesday, after his arrest on a misdemeanor violent crime charge, jail records state.
Lonnie Paul Nelson, 33, of Hurricane, was arrested March 6th, 2013 by Officer J.L. Lucas of the Hurricane Police Department.
According to court records, Nelson is charged with Domestic Battery - 2nd Offense because of a 2004 conviction.
At a Hurricane home, Nelson is accused of getting into a physical confrontation with a woman, pushing her down the porch steps, kickeing her, and trying to choke her.

After his arrest, Nelson was transported to the Western Regional Jail and Correctional Facility, in Barboursville. Officials booked and photographed him at 6:40 p.m., according to the jail's web site.
During a hearing, Nelson's bond was set, at $5,000, by Putnam County Magistrate Linda J. Hunt, court records state.
Nelson's Putnam County Magistrate Court case number is: 13M, 462.
