A little girl's life is tragically changed
forever after her parents die in a murder-suicide in Putnam County.
A shot rang through the darkness, in the Kelley's Cove Subdivision, at about 10:00 p.m. Wednesday, August 22nd, 2012.

Hurricane Police officers scrambled to the scene. However, it was too late to save the parents of Ella Grace.

Captain Sonny "Joe" confirms Christopher Wayne Kinder, 41, stabbed his girlfiend, Katherine “Kate” Nicole Taylor, 34, multiple times, killing her in their pretty two-story, brick home.

Sisk says Kinder then
Sonny Joe Sisk took himself out with a 12-gauge shotgun blast.
The killings reportedly happened after an argument.
In a news release Sisk reports that Kinder's body was visible through a window of the home. Taylor's body was found in a bedroom.
Fortunately, their 9-month-old daughter was spared. Ella Grace was turned over to Child Protective Services-then released to the custody of family members, according to Hurricane Police. The latest word is that a grandmother is caring for the little girl.
According to Mayor Scott D. Edwards, this is the first murder in Hurricane in 20 years. A murder-suicide on Sterling Drive, several years ago, has a Hurricane mailing address but is outside the city limits.
The case remains under investigation.
